Lee’s Summit High School, home of Team Driven, is located in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, a suburb of Kansas City, Missouri. Over 1,700 students are registered for the 2012-2013 school year, including 8 foreign exchange students from 7 different countries. In a survey of 2012 L.S.H.S. graduates, over 84% of them planned to enter a college or university.
L.S.H.S. offers a rigorous academic program with a specific program-of-study for each student including, but not limited to, communications, foreign languages, social studies, mathematices, science, art, music, business education, family and consumer science, industrial technology, health, and physical education. L.S.H.S. is one of a few schools in Missouri which can facilitate the International Baccalaureate program.
Other options for focused-study-programs include the Herndon Career Center, the Cass Career Center, and Summit Tech. Several Team Driven students are participating in the “Project Lead the Way” program at Summit Tech. Project “Lead the Way” is a nationally recognized curriculum program for those students who are dedicated to engineering and biomedical studies.
In addition to academics, L.S.H.S. students participate in robotics, sports, music, theatre, Air Force Junior R.O.T.C., plus many other extra-curricular activities and clubs.
L.S.H.S. maintains AAA accreditation with the State of Missouri and North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary schools. U.S. News and World Report awarded Lee’s Summit High School a Silver rating as one of the best high schools in the U.S.A.
Since the inception of Team Driven in 2005, we continue to receive support and encouragement from our principal, Dr. Faulkenberry, faculty members, and the citizens of Lee’s Summit. The Lee’s Summit School system built dedicated workshops for Team Driven and their counterparts at Lee’s Summit North and Lee’s Summit West high schools.
We, the members of Team Driven, appreciate that support and proudly represent our high school wherever we participate.
