Cow Town Throw Down
The CowTown ThrowDown is the premier off season robotics event held in the Greater Kansas City area. The production of this event was only possible with the collaboration of Cerner and Team Driven.
This event was held to get the FIRST robotics members in the Kansas City area pumped up for the new upcoming season, and to give some of the people that may be new to the robotics experience get a glimpse as the what the atmosphere is actually like.
Team Driven and Cerner took the lead on the project, organizing the entire event from location, to food, to T-shirts. Many volunteers from local companies and other other local teams collaborated to make this such a huge success. Team Driven would like to specially thank volunteers from Honeywell, Hallmark, Team 1987 BroncoBots, Team 1108 Panther Robotics for their critical support. Team Driven created a new organization called Robots Working Together which sold tournament T-shirts with the proceeds going to struggling FIRST teams. The Cowtown Throwdown was a large success and a great chance to reconnect local robotics teams together.
Without the support of Cerner the Cow Town ThrowDown would not have been successful. Cerner is the leading U.S. supplier of healthcare information technology solutions that optimize clinical and financial outcomes. Click here to find out more about Cerner.
