2008 FIRST FRC Game: Overdrive

About the Game

FIRST Overdrive is a game played on the track. There are two Alliances, one red and one blue, composed of 3 teams each. The object of the game is to attain a higher score than your opponent by making counter-clockwise lap with your robot while moving 40" diameter trackballs over and/or under the overpass that bisects the track.

Each Match is 2min 15 seconds long. Hybrid period lasts the first 15 seconds of the match, where the robots are controlled by pre-programmed instructions and/or transmitted information by the Robocoach. The last 2 minutes is the teleoperated period where drivers assume control of the robot.
